A Celebration of 3's

June 20, 2012 was a big day for celebration in this household. Not only was it Josh and I's THIRD anniversary, but Avery also turned THREE months old! Two great reasons to take a moment and reflect on how blessed we really are. We love our little family!

As part of our celebrations, we had a picnic lunch at Adobe. Nothing fancy, just the three of us enjoying a meal together. The weather was perfect, we spread out a blanket, and enjoyed being together.

She's adorable...I know! Hard to believe she's been with us three whole months! What a sweetheart!

To celebrate our anniversary, Josh took me to dinner at La Jolla Groves in the Riverwoods. It was WONDERFUL! The food was great, and the setting is beautiful, but best of all, the company could not be beat. I don't know if you can tell from the second picture, but there are lemon trees that create a canopy over the ceiling of the resteraunt. It really makes for a nice atmosphere. It is amazing to look back a the last three years, all that has changed, all that we have accomplished, all of the fun memories that we have together. I can't help but think about our wedding song and how when we were married, I didn't think I could love Josh any more than I already did. Once again, that has been proven wrong. I have an amazing husband, and we couldn't be happier then when we are together. Here's to three amazing years!
 I love you babe!

Father's Day 2012

This was Josh's first Father's Day as a Dad. He is such a wonderful dad! I love watching Josh and Avery together. We had a great day and got to see both Grandpa Junior, Grandpa Rex.

Three fantastic fathers and a wonderful day to celebrate all of the father figures in our lives. Where would we be without them!?!

Avery is growing up fast!

Here are several recent pictures of our little angel! She is growing and changing so fast! We get more smiles, more noises, and more interaction every day. She is so much fun!!

This is the birthday card we sent to Benjamin when he turned 1! Happy Birthday Benjamin!

One of Avery's favorite activities as of late is to look at books. She gets so focused. Often times, she gets really excited and her little arms and legs just go a mile a minute. We think this is a good sign that she's a smart little cookie :)

Rockin the bunny slippers. I just love them! Every time I put them on her I just want to take more pictures because I think they are so dang cute!

Reading her new book with Daddy. Aunt Alli gave Avery a Curious George book which both Josh and Avery love. For those of you who don't know...Curious George is one of Josh's very favorites! And this is one of my very favorite pictures of all time!

Avery's Blessing Day

We blessed Avery on June 10th. It was a wonderful occasion for all of us. She was very good during the blessing and held her arm out as if to say "thank you all for being here" when Josh held her up at the end of it. Josh and I are so grateful for all of the support we had at her blessing. We feel so lucky to have such incredible family! The dress that we blessed Avery in is the same dress that my mother wore when she was blessed, and I wore when I was blessed. The blanket that she was blessed in was made by her Great-Grandmother, Dianne Anderson. It is beautiful and Avery looked darling! Josh officiated, and the blessing was so beautiful. We truly feel that we have a special little girl in our home.

 4 Generations!

This bracelet was given to Avery by Grandma Tami for her blessing day. It looked so cute!

I'm feeling so sad that we don't have more pictures. I guess things got a litle busy, but we missed pictures with Grandma Tami and Grandpa Rex, as well as with Great-Grandma and Grandpa Wright, and Great-Grandpa Junior. I thought I had one with Great-Grandma and Grandpa Bingham, but I can't seem to find that either....I'm just so bummed!! Avery had all of her grandparents at her blessing as well as all of her living great-grandparents. And we're sure that Great-Grandma Ada was there in spirit. What a special day it was for our little family!

WE FOUND THIS ONE!

Northern Utah for family and showers

We took a trip up to Logan so that we could go to Sara's baby shower. While we were there, the Logan Summerfest was going on, so we decided to check it out. This picture doesn't quite capture it, but the Logan temple was beautiful in the setting sun! Beautiful sight.

Avery with Momma D!

We had breakfast Saturday morning at the annual Lions Club pancake breakfast,  cooked by Grandpa-Great! It was a fun morning and we loved getting to spend time with our family.

Here's the quilt that my mom made for David and Sara's little boy! So cute!

And here is the quilt that I made for David and Sara's baby boy. We can't wait to meet him in August!

The grandmas with their babies!

The beautiful mother-to-be with her niece

On Saturday night, we drove up to Bear Lake to visit with Great-Grandpa Junior. He is such a sweet man, and we love spending time with him. We got to go to church with him for Father's Day. It was a very quick, very wonderful trip. And Avery's first time in Bear Lake too!

Brooklyn's Visit

Last week, we had the privelge of having Brooklyn stay with us for the entire week! We had such a good time with her! We did some sewing, some onesie making, some cooking, played tennis, board games, watched movies, played mini golf, and just had a grand ol time!

As you can see here, Brooklyn had agood time picking out adorable outfits for Avery.
This is just one of many.

Taking a stretch break on the grass at the park.

These are the onesies that Brooklyn made for Avery. We think she should start a business!

Brooklyn also helped me to finish this quilt that I made for David and Sara's baby boy. Here it is in the early stages. This was the first real sewing project that I've done without my mom and let's just say it was an adventure! I really enjoyed making it, I just hope it stays together!

Josh's 50 MILE race

On June 2, 2012, Josh completed a 50 mile race!
The race is called the Squaw Peak 50 and is a very difficult trail run. It goes from the south fork of Provo Canyon, south to Hobble Creek Canyon, and then back around to where they started. It took lots and lots of preparation and I am so proud of him for doing it! As I keep saying, he's such a STUD!

This is Josh's friend Trevor. He is the one that got Josh to do the race and kept him going strong not only through the training but the race as well. We love Trevor.

This is at just over the halfway point. We got to meet Josh in Hobble Creek Canyon to cheer him on. The boys had a quick lunch and were on their merry way.

Three miles left to go at this point! From here on out, Avery and I got to run with them.

And here's the champion!!! So proud of my Joshua!

And here's the proof....13 hours and 5 min, 51.25 miles!!
