Avery Lyn

This is our favorite time of day! Daddy is home for the night and Avery wakes up to play! We sure do love our little Avery!

First real bath!

Twinners! You can't see them, but I'm in my hot pink scrubs...we really are matching in every way! Thanks to the Bingham girls for the tie dye onesies for Avery!

These two pictures are some of my favorite pictures so far. They make me cry. I love these two more than anything in the world. In fact, they ARE my world.

First day home from the hospital. Playing with Uncle Hayden. I didn't get a good picture, but Avery's eyes were open and we were all just loving watching her be so awake!

Playing on Dad's chest. She loves this.

Avery's Newborn Photoshoot

I got to do a newborn photo-shoot with little Avery. I probably enjoyed it much more than she did, but I will cherish these pictures forever. She is my little angel and I love her so much! I wanted to be able to remember exactly how she looked brand new. Thanks to Josh’s cousin Jen, I’ll be able to do so! I hope that someday, Avery loves these pictures as well. She is perfect!

I love the way some of these pictures show off the blanket that Great-Grandma Dianne made for Avery. It is so beautiful! I love it so much and I know that Avery will too.

Moab Utah

At 9 days old, Avery Lyn got to take her first road trip! We went with the Bingham's to Moab Utah! This is a picture of the whole gang at Delicate Arch, one of the most famous arches in the park.

This is the view from Dead Horse lookout. Breathtaking.

Planking!

This is in front of Corona Arch. The people on the top of the arch were getting ready to jump off...they are absolutely crazy!

Courtney-ing.

Our little threesome! Josh carried Avery every step of the way on both of the hikes that she and I came on. What a stud! We figure that we better start Avery hiking young as we hope it will be something that she will grow to love as much as we do.

Josh and his bike overlooking the Colorado River. So beautiful. Everyone loved the biking that they did in Moab! Can't wait to go back so that I can try!

What a handsome young fella eh?

Avery got hungry just as we were getting to Delicate Arch. No better time to nurse! I believe it was my dad who gave this picture it's caption... "Nature's curves"

On the trail. Safe in Daddy's arms.

What a great trip!

The Arrival of Avery: Our Little Angel

After a long night, Josh and I were so excited to welcome our sweet little angel Avery into the world. She is the most beautiful little girl in the whole world and we love her more than we could ever express! She is perfect in every way. This is the blue bow picked out for Avery by her proud Papa!

Feels so good to stretch!! This is the same position Avery assumed the minute she arrived. Here she is hanging out with Dad in the nursery, getting all cleaned up!

Avery loved getting her hair washed for the first time! This is still one of Avery's favorite things. Josh loves to brush Avery's hair every night before bed. It helps her to relax, and it makes me cry everytime I see it.

Daddy's girl!

The first time I got to hold my sweet angel. I cannot describe the love that I felt as they placed Avery into my arms for the first time. Every day for nine months I had looked forward to this moment when I would meet the little girl I had been thinking about and praying for constantly. It was better than I ever imagined. I love her so much!!! Avery was very alert for these first few minutes. It was amazing to look down into her little blue eyes and see her looking up at me. I fell in love instantly!

First few minutes!

Avery Lyn, WE LOVE YOU!!!

Temple Square 12/2011

Annual trip to Temple Square to see the lights. It was freezing! We are so blessed to live so close to so many temples. We are so grateful for the temple and all that it means for our families!

This night was the first time that someone I didn't know asked me if I was expecting. We all got a good laugh out of it because I was so bundled I didn't think anyone could tell.

Thanksgiving 2011

Dad shot a fox! It was pretty cool looking....except for all the fleas....

Dad took us shotgun shooting! It was a BLAST! We had a really good time.
It was something neither one of us had done for a long time.

Putting up Christmas lights! So pretty...while they worked.

Benjamin and Uncle Josh taking a snooze. So precious.

Thanksgiving day walk/run to the infamous flag pole at the cemetary. What fun! My belly is starting to show more and more.

BYU Football

We got to go to the BYU football game as a family. We had such a great time! And thanks to Rex for taking us upstairs to see the boxes. What a view! (November 2011)

Jacob with two BYU cheerleaders! Thanks Kiley!

It's a Girl!

This is the video of the gender announcement party we had for Avery (November 2011). We were so thrilled to find out that we would be having a little girl!
