Northern Utah for family and showers

We took a trip up to Logan so that we could go to Sara's baby shower. While we were there, the Logan Summerfest was going on, so we decided to check it out. This picture doesn't quite capture it, but the Logan temple was beautiful in the setting sun! Beautiful sight.

Avery with Momma D!

We had breakfast Saturday morning at the annual Lions Club pancake breakfast,  cooked by Grandpa-Great! It was a fun morning and we loved getting to spend time with our family.

Here's the quilt that my mom made for David and Sara's little boy! So cute!

And here is the quilt that I made for David and Sara's baby boy. We can't wait to meet him in August!

The grandmas with their babies!

The beautiful mother-to-be with her niece

On Saturday night, we drove up to Bear Lake to visit with Great-Grandpa Junior. He is such a sweet man, and we love spending time with him. We got to go to church with him for Father's Day. It was a very quick, very wonderful trip. And Avery's first time in Bear Lake too!

Brooklyn's Visit

Last week, we had the privelge of having Brooklyn stay with us for the entire week! We had such a good time with her! We did some sewing, some onesie making, some cooking, played tennis, board games, watched movies, played mini golf, and just had a grand ol time!

As you can see here, Brooklyn had agood time picking out adorable outfits for Avery.
This is just one of many.

Taking a stretch break on the grass at the park.

These are the onesies that Brooklyn made for Avery. We think she should start a business!

Brooklyn also helped me to finish this quilt that I made for David and Sara's baby boy. Here it is in the early stages. This was the first real sewing project that I've done without my mom and let's just say it was an adventure! I really enjoyed making it, I just hope it stays together!

Josh's 50 MILE race

On June 2, 2012, Josh completed a 50 mile race!
The race is called the Squaw Peak 50 and is a very difficult trail run. It goes from the south fork of Provo Canyon, south to Hobble Creek Canyon, and then back around to where they started. It took lots and lots of preparation and I am so proud of him for doing it! As I keep saying, he's such a STUD!

This is Josh's friend Trevor. He is the one that got Josh to do the race and kept him going strong not only through the training but the race as well. We love Trevor.

This is at just over the halfway point. We got to meet Josh in Hobble Creek Canyon to cheer him on. The boys had a quick lunch and were on their merry way.

Three miles left to go at this point! From here on out, Avery and I got to run with them.

And here's the champion!!! So proud of my Joshua!

And here's the proof....13 hours and 5 min, 51.25 miles!!

Loving Life

Life these past two months has certainly been different from the life that Josh and I knew before. Nearly EVERYTHING is different now. And yet, we could not be happier. On Sunday, Avery turned two months old! Time is flying, and it's hard to believe we've had her that long. At the same time, it is difficult for us to remember what life was like without her. She is so much a part of our lives, and so deep into our hearts. Here are some of our favorite pictures from the past few weeks.

Tummy Time! Building up those strong neck muscles.

The following pictures were an attempt to catch some of Avery's first smiles. It was harder than I thought it would be! But I think if you look at them all together, you get the general idea. Josh and I have been making fools of ourselves the past few weeks; trying to get as many smiles out of her as we can!

This is one of my very favorite pictures of Avery so far. She just looks so peaceful to me, like a litlle doll. I especially love her tiny little fingers!

I love this hoodie given to us by either Beth or Susan (I'm not sure which, but thank you!) I think it is the most adorable little sweatshirt for the most adorable little sweetheart.

Happy Girl! It has been so fun for Josh and I to watch as Avery has become a bit more lively. She is awake a lot more now and will interact with us a lot more too. She likes to look at toys and books, but her favorite things to see are her parents! That has been especially rewarding for us.

Milk coma...it is just so much work to eat!!
Some of my very favorite special times with Avery look just like this.
I love to cuddle with my baby girl!

Look what I found in the laundry! Sometimes I take Avery upstairs to do laundry with me. When my hands are full, she gets a ride downstairs in the middle of the warm, clean clothes! I absolutely love this smile!

Here is Avery in her mamaroo. Thanks to everyone who spent time and money getting this thing to work! Avery loves it, and so does her mama! Here's to getting things done!

This is Avery all dressed up and ready for chuch on her two month birthday! Happy Birthday to Avery! It really is hard to believe she is so old! We took her to her two month check up on Tuesday and got an excellent report from the doctor. She is a tiny 8 lbs. 4 oz, 21 and a quarter inches long, and healthy as can be! That puts her at aproximately the 10th percentile for both height and weight. We feel so grateful to have a healthy baby girl!

Sitting up all by herself!!!....well...I mean....with the help of the couch of course...

We took Avery to Carlie's soccer game. It was sort of cold and windy, so we had her pretty bundled up! You could hardly find her beneath all of those blankets!
To sum it up, we love being parents! We think we have the most wonderful daughter in the entire world, and we couldn't be happier than we have been these past two months. She is our little angel, and such a blessing in our lives. And yes, we think she's pretty darn cute as well!

BOSHO Marathon 4/21/2012

This is my husband.
He is a stud!

Finishline of the Bonneville Shoreline Marathon.
This was Josh's first marathon, and he picked a beast of a run for his first. He is currently training for a 50 mile trail race in June and this was just a part of his training. I'm so proud of him!

Way to go Joshua Jon! Oh yeah, and good job Trevor!

Josh's Graduation! 4/19/2012

Here's the handsome devil himself!
Congratulations to Josh on receiving his Bachelors in Information Systems at BYU!
So proud of you babe!!

Avery is so proud of her Papa!

Thanks to everyone for your support, not only at graduation, but through the whole process! We love you!

We found some more pictures that I wanted to add...these are from day two of graduation where Josh actually got to walk. Happy Day!!

Two thumbs up for rock and roll!!

Avery's Smiling Video
Avery was in a really good mood this morning before we went to church.  She was smiling a lot, so Josh quickly picked up the video camera and got this video.  She just keeps getting cuter and cuter and we keep falling more and more in love with her.
